Our Story

Our story begin in two separate parts of the world. Bob Bakes was running a kitchen design company in London and at the same time back in the states Paul Kropp was hand-crafting custom wood furniture in Michigan. Soon after, Bob moved to the US and the two started working together, combining Bob’s design expertise with Paul’s craftsmanship. It became clear that there was a special synergy and strength in their partnership and the duo decided to make their partnership official and founded Bakes & Kropp out of a vision to build a legacy of fine design and craftsmanship and to create one- of-a-kind luxury kitchens for beautiful homes across the country.
