On Long Island, New York, Bakes & Kropp was tasked with reimagining this Lloyd Harbor, New York kitchen into a timeless, hospitable space for entertaining and gathering. Under the direction of Senior Designer Mary Dimichino, the space was transformed from a bleak and bland space into an aspirational and practical kitchen. To achieve a tempered, luxe look, the design team opted for Bakes & Kropp’s signature Revelane cabinetry in a high-gloss white painted finish. The sleek cabinetry refreshes the space with a modern feel, balanced by the warmth of True Walnut accents. Among them, a bespoke quarter-cut island pairs both finishes, creating a sense of balance and harmony in the space.
Meanwhile, a wall of built-in walnut-finished storage juxtaposes the natural finish alongside stainless steel paneled refrigerators for food and wine storage. Custom stainless steel drawer fronts are built into the range to tie the overall space together. Throughout, polished nickel hardware leans into the traditional design elements, whereas its simplistic silhouette leans modern to playfully bridge sensibilities. The kitchen’s redesign seamlessly combines classic and contemporary design to create a warm and inviting kitchen to be enjoyed for years to come.
