Tapped by a developer in Amagansett, Bob Bakes, our Head of Design, was challenged to deliver an aspirational yet sensible kitchen within this 6,500-square-foot spec home. The kitchen was intended to be both refined and practical while creating a sense of comfort and warmth. The result is a crisp, clean, and considered kitchen that makes anyone feel right at home. The custom cabinetry features one of the first iterations of Bakes & Kropp's Revelane style, which combines a timeless silhouette with modern-leaning character. The white base of the cabinetry is paired with a signature walnut finish for a hygge touch. The standout, the walnut waterfall island, juxtaposes an opulent marble stone center with the natural walnut grain, creating a space that is highly functional and equally elegant.

The paired marble backsplash and custom countertop highlight the bold veining for texture. A custom Bakes & Kropp range hood draws the eye overhead, creating balance and symmetry within the kitchen. On the far wall, glass-front cabinetry with inset lighting provides a purposeful display case for china flanked by fridge built-ins and extra storage. Throughout the kitchen, chrome L-shaped pulls and fixtures tie respective elements together for a cohesive and curated design. The result is a space that is not only practical but also sophisticated and timeless, creating a welcoming atmosphere anyone would be glad to call home.
