The homeowner’s interior designer collaborated with Bakes & Kropp to blend traditional charm with contemporary touches in this New Canaan, Connecticut, kitchen. Custom cabinetry in Snowbound by Sherwin-Williams pairs with a cerused walnut island and accent panels, while high-end appliances and brass hardware enhance both style and function. Thoughtful details, like mesh- and glass-paneled doors, hidden outlets, and integrated lighting, complete the space’s airy and inviting design.

On the Upper East Side, Bakes & Kropp transformed a modest apartment kitchen into a sophisticated, functional space. Stunning dark blue cabinetry contrasts beautifully with warm plank flooring and a white marble backsplash, while brass hardware adds a transitional nod. With clever use of concealed appliances, glass doors to brighten and open the room, and floor-to-ceiling storage, the design maximizes square footage and creates a seamless flow in the compact cooking area.

When a Hamptons-based influencer approached Bakes & Kropp to reimagine her kitchen, the goal was to create a luxurious space that reflects her personality and love for entertaining. The design mixes classic style with inventive storage solutions, featuring white cabinetry accented by a powder blue island and polished nickel hardware for an authentic Hamptons look. The most clever detail, open-glass cabinetry in front of the existing windows, enhances both aesthetics and functionality, increasing storage and natural light in the space.
