Bakes & Kropp collaborated with designers Elsa Soyars and Becky Shea to transform this New York City kitchen to reflect a classic aesthetic. Originally tasked with only doing the kitchen island, the clients were so pleased with the quality and beauty of our work that they entrusted our team, led by Head of Design, Bob Bakes, to design cabinetry not only for the entire house but their second home as well. This kitchen is both visually spacious and primed for functionality without compromising on style.

Our team worked with the client to establish a design vision for the kitchen, ultimately showcasing the Bakes & Kropp Classic Meridian cabinetry complemented by a black marble-topped spacious island. Brushed nickel provides an eye-catching detail juxtaposed with the hand-painted Harbor Gray and Walnut Bristle finishes repeated throughout the kitchen and adjacent dining room. The kitchen also features an equally striking custom hood in walnut and polished nickel as well as stainless steel icebox fridge panels. The end result for this repeat client is a functional kitchen that thoughtfully combines painted cabinetry, wood, and metal accents.
