Peaceful Woods & Whites
This Bakes & Kropp kitchen in Lloyd Harbor, designed by Mary Dimichino, was a remodel project with a focus on creating a functional space for cooking, as well as a central gathering area for the family. The kitchen features Meridian door style cabinets, primed for final paint on site, with a Walnut Bakes & Kropp Fossil finish. The hardware used in the space is from Armac Martin's Bournville collection, in a polished nickel finish. The kitchen itself is 279 square feet, while the adjacent Butler's Pantry measures 142 square feet. The owner's goals for the project were to design a kitchen that would be perfect for cooking, with an island that could serve as a central gathering area for the family.
Additionally, the island would also provide ample space for the kids to do their homework. The overall aesthetic of the space is best described as modern farmhouse, with a focus on clean lines and a warm, inviting feel. Key design highlights of the space include the beautiful walnut island, which replaced the traditional kitchen table and serves as the central gathering area for the family. Another standout feature of the space is the cozy window seat, which provides a comfortable spot for reading or relaxing. This kitchen is a stunning example of modern farmhouse design, with a focus on creating a functional space that is both beautiful and inviting. The attention to detail, from the hardware to the finish on the cabinets, is evident throughout the space, making it a true showcase of quality craftsmanship.
