2025 Trends in Kitchen Design
Reflecting upon our project portfolio from the past year, it’s been inspiring to see how homeowners have been prioritizing both style and practicality in their spaces. As 2024 unfolded, the emphasis on functionality and aesthetics became a defining hallmark of the year, and we’re excited to see how this trend will evolve in the year ahead.
A Look Back at 2024
2024, more than ever, saw a shift toward functional, visually-driven kitchen spaces. Homeowners are realizing they can actualize their dream kitchens by incorporating custom inserts, such as vented produce drawers, and more to organize their spaces rather than settle for clunky, make-shift solutions. These drawers are installed with built-in mesh at the bottom, which offers ventilation to keep produce fresher for longer and off your counters.
While we saw the rise of minimalist designs in 2024, these can often be excessively sparse, with no visible storage, which can come across as cold and impersonal. Instead, we recommend opting for our signature Soft Modern approach that perfectly blends the clean lines of contemporary design with warm, tactile materials. Our designers have been choosing white oak cabinetry, open shelving, and bronze hardware to achieve this welcoming yet stunning look.
Our 2025 Predictions
Moving into 2025, we expect to see more custom metalwork in the kitchen. Although brass accents have been trending for a while, there are many more opportunities to integrate unique metalwork—cooler-toned metallics too—in hardware, backsplashes, shelving, and other statement-making applications. It introduces a level of craftsmanship and refinement that is hard to replicate with mass-produced materials. The tactile beauty of metal adds depth and texture to a space for a deliberate, luxurious feel that elevates the overall design.
When it comes to overall color schemes, we’re seeing a transition to more earthy tones in interiors, which can be seen in our Elements Series that launched earlier last year. Beyond the use of neutral-stained wood shelving and cabinetry, greens, and blues are a great way to evoke that natural yet elegant aesthetic. Paired with organic textures and metallic accents, these nature-inspired hues create spaces that feel grounded and fresh, offering a perfect balance of serenity and modernity.
As we move into the new year, we’re thrilled to help homeowners continue shaping their dream kitchens—spaces that are not only visually stunning but also functional and enduring. We wish you an inspiring new year and look forward to all that’s to come in 2025!
