So when our client, a family in Great Neck, NY, came to us after discovering a newfound love of cooking, we knew their kitchen would have to be versatile, efficient, and personalized. Our team collaborated closely with the homeowners to create a transitional kitchen and butler’s pantry that serves as the cornerstone of their home, establishing an atmosphere of refined elegance and practical luxury.

The overall design revolves around our signature Meridian cabinetry finished in a sleek, semi-gloss white that provides a clean, contemporary backdrop. This is beautifully contrasted by Truffle Walnut accent panels and a grand island, which bring warmth and depth to the space. The striking difference between the crisp white cabinetry and rich walnut accents offers a sophisticated yet comfortable ambiance, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Brass Armac Martin hardware, finished in satin bronze, adds a touch of opulence, elevating the space with a tasteful flair. The combination of these materials creates a timeless, transitional style that perfectly meets the homeowner’s vision for a updated, inviting kitchen.

Our senior designer worked closely with the homeowners to create custom cabinetry pullouts and inserts that would cater to their everyday needs, making this kitchen both beautiful and highly convenient. Post-pandemic, the family developed a new love for cooking, and our team was quick to respond with bespoke storage solutions. Knife storage and spice tray inserts, specifically tailored to the family’s Asian-influenced culinary style, were integrated to enhance both organization and accessibility.

The kitchen layout was carefully planned to harmonize both form and function. The stunning walnut island sits center stage as an alluring focal point designed with ample space for meal preparation as well as casual dining. With young children in the home, the island serves as a practical gathering place during day-to-day activities for the family. A microwave, steam oven, and warming drawer tower are strategically positioned to maximize countertop space and streamline cooking. The integration of these appliances into the island creates an efficient cooking zone, while maintaining an open and airy feel throughout the kitchen.

Another standout feature is the range hood, which adds both elegance and visual interest to the space. Adorned with a bronze band and bordered by Truffle Walnut, the custom hood introduces refined texture to the overall design. Paired with mesh cabinetry details and helix glass fronts, these elements combine to create a balanced, sophisticated look that perfectly complements the custom icebox refrigerator panels.
