For this New York City kitchen, Bakes & Kropp created a custom walnut cabinetry finish with a soft, natural sheen to add warmth to the home’s modern style and balance the opulence of a marble island top. The end result was so stunning, that the finish is now a signature style within our collection. Senior Designer Ellen Schott worked with the homeowner to bring their vision to fruition, marrying the client-selected furnishings, hardware, and backsplash with custom drawer insets and pull-out accessories.

Small added touches highlight the refined craftsmanship, such as the under-lit island showcasing the natural wood grain and clean symmetrical lines of a metal inlay.
